Creating a dedicated table and API for video information would be useful for tasks like obtaining duration and codec information which can be used for things like having duration listed on posts or for choosing a specific video file depending on the browser and device.

In addition, being able to use this information for programs that rely on or are more useful with duration information (Gmod Media Player or Kodi).

This is more quality-of-life than essential feature so i'll have to do it some other time.
